Not lonely in the sense of not enjoying the company of others, but lonely in seeking a direct experience. Unmitigated by any thought, feeling or the opinion of an-other.
The mystic seeks to know. But again, not in the sense of obtaining more words, ideas, theories. A wetness you will only know by standing in the rain. A fragrance you will only know by walking the earth after the storm.

The mystic seeks to dance alone to the sound of nature. Dance unseen, unnoticed. Moving slowly to the melody of the heart. Having no purpose to their movement, no defined goal.

We have known the word mystic to mean – other worldly, magical, special and unexplained. But in their core, the mystics are profoundly simple. They are of the earth, probably even more than you and me. They are so simple that their words are few and far between. They know not where the earth ends and their feet begin.

They use no magic to extend their lives, and by no means they consider their journey to be anything but the unfoldment of life itself.
