As we navigate our soul’s journey of evolution, the process is one of integration and balance. Evolving through our wounding and challenges, allowing life’s mysterious undulations to help us grow and expand. Though we are spiritual beings having a human, embodied experience the integration with matter, truly matters. We came from spirit and chose this embodied experience with a very clear and grounded purpose. Being embodied implies living in friction. Under constant influence of external circumstances. Learning to explore our senses and their impact on our emotional state of being is of utmost importance. The old paradigm of transcending matter and focusing, solely, on spiritual development has long shifted into a more balanced approach of embodiment and connection to life in its fullness.
Transcendence used to be the ultimate goal for spiritual seekers in almost every spiritual tradition. Ignore the body, transcend the body… these concepts and those days are long gone and have been replaced with a more balanced, and inclusive approach that involves not only our own development but our influence on the current of life – our bodies, our friends, brothers and sisters and the collective of nature all around us.
In this section I’ve decided to dedicate my writing to the exploration of the art of embodiment. To the study of integrative traditions and the practice of wholistic, inclusive approaches that include the usage of our senses, our sexuality, our material influences and so forth.
