The Call of the Mystic

After years of living in Ashrams, experiencing and facilitating hundreds of spiritual workshops and retreats, I have decided to create an experience like no other. A real, authentic mystical journey. The key to this retreat is the carefully selected sequence of practices, drawn from several spiritual paths and the incredible attention to detail, literally crafting a personal experience to each and every single one of the participants.

The Call of the Mystic isn’t another ‘Yoga-esque’ type of retreat nor is it a rigid Zen monastery type of experience. What we are bringing forth is truly a new form of spiritual transformational events. The entire weekend is filled with color, music and more magick than you can possibly imagine.

We have spent hours to plan and design each single class, each single offering. But the real magick, is what happens between classes, and within the container of spending a weekend with real mystics. You are a key ingredient in this brew of spells we are conjuring; according to your personal preference, you’ll be as involved as you’d like to be in the creation process. Some will be given tasks, others Zen Koans to ponder, some would be walking a labyrinth and others would be walking around with magical instruments. Each participant is a mystery to be revealed.

Among our practices throughout the weekend are Native American trance dancing, Chi Kung exercises, Shamanic rituals, Kundalini awakening movements, Sufi dance and even our own unique Jedi training.

The Call of the Mystic

Our next ‘Call of the Mystic’ retreat will take place on

September 25-28

The retreat starts on Thursday at 6:00pm and ends on Sunday at 3:00pm.

In between the beginning and end, time will cease and magick will ensue.

The ‘Call of the Mystic’ retreat is being held at the gorgeous Lodge at Oak Tree Ranch. 163 acres of pure nature and absolute magic. Located near the central California town of San Luis Obispo. The Lodge at Oak Creek Ranch combines an authentic nature setting with first-class facilities.  Hospitality experts have called it “incredibly special” and “magical.”

We have chosen this spot for our mystical journey so we can combine the depth of nature with the flair of comfortable hospitality and ease. For more information and traveling directions, follow this link: the Sanctuary.

Kai Karrel – is writer, a poet, a mystic and a spiritual adventurer. He is a mystical traveler devoted to the exploration of the unknowable. He travels among native traditions and ancient cultures. In a way he considers himself a traditional light warrior, using the lighter side of his teaching to inspire spiritual growth and self-love. After over 20 years of deep study and devotion to walking a spiritual path, living in ashrams and learning from numerous teachers and guides, the emerging pattern that Kai has devoted his life to sharing, is that truth is a pathless land and that a true mystical experience lies in full acceptance and radical self inquiry. His teachings reflect a deep commitment to freedom and truth, the search for one single experience – falling in love with one’s self.
