World Wide Conflict

In the last few days, different people have been reaching out to me, asking for my opinion about political issues. For a mystic, politics is the most dangerous religion of all.

For a mystic, to talk about politics is like wearing a Mets t-shirt and walking into a Yankees bar.

A mystic doesn't take sides. They see the wholeness of life. The absurdity of the illusion of belonging. The arrogance of claiming a piece of earth as our own. When you experience life as it is, you'll see that you are not a stranger to this land; you have not come here to claim and own it; the land, if at all, owns you.

You have come out of the earth; you are an expression of nature; you are a part and parcel of this creation. You are not the master, the owner, the creator. You are the "createe".

Being born into human form, having a divine human experience grants you the greatest gift of all; gracing life, nature, and the earth with the gift of gratitude. You, as you are, are the sole point in the whole of existence where there's enough space, enough distance, enough forgetfulness to be able to marvel and express the beauty of all that surrounds you.

When all notions of mine and yours, of ours and theirs, will fade away, our petty wars will turn into a celebration of the multiversity of being. The variety of life and all of its wondrous creatures.

Mark my words; there will be a day where more than dying for ideals, it will be nobler to live for them. More than killing for what you believe in, living in fullness and embracing our differences will be the norm.

I have a dream... I dream of a world where conflict can flourish.
Where diversity is celebrated. Where the difference of opinion, ideation, and even belief empowers growth and creativity, fostering connection and a sense of awe to this magnificent planet, we are fortunate to call our home.
